Behind The Scenes: Painting A Motion Picture Soundtrack

I recently had the honor of painting the cover of The Grounded motion picture soundtrack. Today I’m taking you behind-the-scenes to show you the process of painting the front cover, and next week I’ll do take you through the painting of the back cover.   The music for the film is spectacular… it is an original score created by master composer Stuart Mitchell and preformed by the Czech Filmharmonic Orchestra. Considering the music is one of the very best parts of the entire movie, it was quite an honor for my artwork to be considered for the cover.   Ready …

Painting the Energy of The Heart

Since this is Heart Health Month, it’s the perfect time to show you a little behind-the-scenes of a painting series I just finished!   I thought it would be fun to show you all the different layers of paint that went into the final painting.   I generally get images or ideas of what I want to paint as I lay in bed at night inviting sleep in.   One night I felt overcome with the desire to capture healing images of each chakra, so I spent a few weeks honing in on the words I felt activates the energy …

The most vivid intuition I’ve ever gotten

My lovely grandma passed away early last Friday morning…   As I head up to here part of the country for services and to hug my beautiful precious mother and spend time with her, I feel extremely open to spirit and tender.   It is during these times I like to remember some of my most vivid intuitions and enjoy knowing my grandmother is a part of the pure, positive world of spirit.   I remember my very favorite spiritual vision I’ve ever had and I’d like to share that with you here today in memory of my grandmother’s life …

The physical symtoms of the heart chakra… and how to re-align RIGHT NOW!

Wow, I haven’t done a video in a long time, and now I remember why. Dang. I hate the lighting, the angle, the still shot, how I accidentally cropped my head in half… everything!   BUT! I’m posting it anyway.   Because the heart chakra is one of my very favs and because the physical symptoms that arise from the heart chakras are so common, I bet you can find yourself in this video somewhere. The heart chakra affects so much, from heartburn to breast tenderness to fibromyalgia to obsessing over relationships and SO MUCH MORE. Give this video a …

Change Your Daughter’s Life Today!

I am pushing back the chakra series one week because today is Labor Day!!! As promised, I’m giving away 5 copies of my “Goddess Delivers” Giclee Art in honor of what Labor Day means to me and women around the globe. Because Labor Day isn’t just a day to rest and recover from long hours on the job… it’s a chance to turn around society’s concept of what “birth” is and a chance to change how your own daughter grows up and anticipates the birth process.   I was watching Good Luck Charlie the other evening with my daughter on …

Creativity = Health

In honor of the second chakra this week, I am sharing with you an article I once wrote for a feature on Art Snark’s blog many years ago. I still love it and it holds true! How The Simple Act Of Creating Must Create Physical Health I took the scenic route in becoming an artist. The really looooong way around. The kind of path that took me through medical school, residency, and a bit of clinical practice as a physician before I had children and realized my heartsong was to be a mommy and an artist. That kind of long …
