Guest post… Organic Make Up (or, what I use for my oily eyelids, but that just doesn’t sound right…)

Alison Price is stopping by my blog again today to tell us a little about why her make-up line is so awesome. She runs Organic Glow.com, which features the certified organic product range Miessence. I knew the products were awesome from the ingredient lists I’ve checked out… but I have to say, I’ve tried other mineral make ups and not fully enjoyed them. So I was a bit leary to try the loose powder, because I’ve had such bad experiences in the past with the powder settling into my expression lines and fine lines around my eyes… I usually wind …

My Fav Toothpastes…

I love love love this toothpaste. It tastes like you dipped your toothbrush in baking soda, then squeezed a fresh lemon over the top. And that’s because that is pretty much the ingredient list on this pure, organic, high quality toothpaste. I love brushing with baking soda… washing your oral muscosa and teeth with baking soda is a fabulous way to re-set your mouth’s pH every morning and every evening… it is gentle on your teeth and neutralizing for breath, too.   I am also a big fan of just sprinkling your toothbrush with baking soda and brushing, …

Guest Blogger — Mission Essentials

I am so happy to introduce today’s guest blogger… Steve and Gail Salomon. They own and operate a local company called Mission Essentials… they were introduced to me by a participant in my Skin Happiness eCourse (thank you so much Diane!) Diane wanted me to look over the ingredient list for this particular sunscreen brand and I’m so glad she did. I found nothing but amazing ingredients and physical blocking agents (no chemical sunscreens or preservatives) along with the fact that the product is micro-sized but *NOT* nano-sized… this sunscreen fit the bill perfectly. In addition to it being an …

Cleopatra, A Mummy, and Some of My All-Time Favorite Etsy Artists

My daughter wants to be an archaeologist some day… some day soon. I’ve talked about how our backyard is the site of her first dig… and how she has a deep connection to Ancient Egypt. One thing that I wanted to give her for Christmas was some Egyptian Art for her walls. I couldn’t find anything that was just perfect for my little Cleopatra… so I decided to make her something. I lucked upon this amazing Etsy shop, The Octopode Factory. It is full of awesome characters and artwork, that you can purchase and print out for use in your …

How to Celebrate Running Your Car Into the Ground… (and a lovely surprise sale from a special guest!)

Hi folks! We are celebrating finally paying off both of our cars… yippee! My husband’s vehicle is a wonderful hybrid truck that we love and is the car we choose whenever we are all together, going on family trips and around town and such. But my car… that’s another story. It’s a beat up minivan that we got when our first child was born. It has taken us across the country, taken us through our life… taken me to the hospital to deliver my son… taken us from our starter home to our lovely permanent home in the woods… it’s …

A Kindred Spirit… with a Give-a-way

I have asked a wonderful friend of mine to write a guest post today, because what she has to offer is so in sync with all that I feel about vibrational health and healing. Alexa Thorvalson, Evolutionary Astrologist http://www.alekasky.com/ She and I totally see eye-to-eye on how physical symptoms and disease are a messenger of a deeper truth… looking at physical illness as a gift, a signal from our bodies that point us in the direction of growth, of change… of an inner need that will strengthen us as we listen. Ultimately, health is about restoring a positive energy flow …
